How it started
Pixelated Past began with a simple question: what happens to all those printed photos sitting in the closet?
The inspiration was Roman's aunt, who had boxes of family photos she'd always meant to save. That sparked the idea — and the very first project was a big one: more than 2,000 photos, hand-scanned one at a time and delivered on a single USB drive, every original returned. It's still done the same way today: by hand, one photo at a time.
